MICROPHLEBECTOMY

What is Microphlebectomy?

Microphlebectomy employs a minimally invasive approach involving the creation of tiny incisions (approximately 0.3 cm) in the skin. Through these minute openings, varicose veins are extracted in segments, disrupting the flow within the compromised vein.

This technique is highly effective, particularly when performed by experienced practitioners, yielding improved cosmetic outcomes due to reduced skin staining and minimized unevenness often associated with veins treated using sclerosants.

What to expect post your microphlebectomy?

– You will be required to wear your medical grade compression stockings for a min of one week. The first 4 days, you must not take off your compression stockings. This means, even showering in them. The following 3 days, you can take your compression off to shower, but you must wear them during the day. You may sleep without your compression if you so desire.

– Avoid strenuous activities or high-impact workouts for one week after treatment.

– Give yourself 4-6 weeks before you judge your results.
